Sohnen announces US$ 65 million expansion at Tijuana facility

Electronics company Sohnen disclosed an expansion project for its Tijuana, Baja California plant, valued at US$ 65 million, thus making way for the first "Leed Platinum" (Leadership in engineering and environmental design) certified building in America.

The new building will have the largest rooftop solar panels in Mexico (1.3 megawatts), system for capture and treatment of rain water from rooftops and patios, as well as a smart system for this product's storage and retrieval.

With this new building, Sohnen Group Tijuana will have 4 plants and nearly 1,500 employees. Sohnen is recognized as a leader company in the electronic and electric products reconstruction market, as it uses spearhead technology in its productive processes.
