With the arrival of Bombardier, in 2006, several OEMs have established operations in clusters across the country. Indeed, Mexico has ranked as the largest recipient of aerospace-related FDI for the past three years, a trend that has spurred the development of a consolidated supply chain. However, industrial growth has also increased demand for qualified workers, with companies implementing new measures to retain talent amid a sector-wide average turnover rate of 10% as of June and double-digit turnover at several plants. "Mexico needs to learn how to plan, manage, control and nourish its workforce.
