This is how Mexico’s Aeroclusters are closing 2016

The aerospace industry in Mexico is closing 2016 with more than 300 aerospace companies operating in the country.

Baja California dominates the industry with a concentration of 76 companies, reaching US$5.46 million in aerospace exports. Sonora, boasts 53 companies, standing out for unique activities that nowhere else in the country performs.

Chihuahua offers up 5 million ft² of industrial floor space, with 36 internationally certified suppliers to the aerospace industry. It exported US$1.5 billion for this sector. Nuevo Leon has the second largest fleet of private airplanes in Mexico, it has built up 32 hangars with workshops that are certified to the recognized high national standards.

Queretaro has 31 companies and captured 45% FDI this year, with a US$74 million investment from Safran and GE.
