The Integral Port Administration of Veracruz (Apiver) announced that it might be receiving federal resources valued at roughly US$47.6 million during 2017, to go towards port expansions, in addition to US$14.2 million of its own resources, to warrant the continuation of the works as it is outlined. Francisco Liaño Carrera, Engineering Manager for Apiver, disclosed that the work team will receive an additional US$18 million from federal resources. In relation to the works for the Rio Medio bypass, he said that after the completion of tasks to release mid-tension lines, the works will be continued, with expectations to finish during the May-June 2017 period, with global investment worth US$2 million.
