Slim and ICA win tendering to build the NAICM terminal

After competing against two other groups, the consortium formed with Grupo Carso, by Carlos Slim, ICA by Bernardo Quintana, Prodemex, La Peninsular, Constructora y Edificadora GIA+A (GIA), and the Spanish firms Acciona and FCC, won the tendering to build the terminal of the New International Airport of Mexico City (NAICM). The technical score of this association reached 45.66 points, with an economic offer US$4 billion. The contract is to be signed next February 13, and works could start that day. The construction works for the terminal will last 3.7 years, with expectations to be ready by September 2020. Grupo Carso had already won the contract to build the track 3 of NAICM a few months ago, a US$350 million value.
