Hirschvogel builds US$ 30 million plant in Queretaro

German firm Hirschvogel Automotive Group just started the construction of its ninth plant in the world and its first in Mexico, with a US$30 million investment.

The complex is located in the Municipality of San Juan del Rio, Queretaro, and it has a 115,000 square meters surface.

The first stage, machining, will be ready to produce its first sample pieces in April this year, and the second, installation of forging machines, will start producing pieces in 2018.

Stephan Lutzenberger, CEO of Hirschvogel Components Mexico, said the expected production volume is 5 million parts by 2019.
