Metal stamping supplier Trans-Matic opens plant in Nuevo Leon

Michigan-based metal stamping supplier Trans-Matic started operations in recent days at a US$ 12 million plant in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, creating 55 full-time jobs.

The new 55,000 square feet facility located at the Finsa Industrial Park houses 23 stamping presses.

P.J. Thompson, president of Trans-Matic, said the opening is just the first stage of a wider strategy with two expansions coming in the next five years if everything goes as planned.

Trans-Matic produces precision parts from braking components in cars, casings for ultracapacitors, to highly durable parts in chain saws and lawn mowers serving a variety of industries in the automotive, HVAC and appliances sectors. 

Some of its customers include Bosch, Denso, Delphi, Ford, Valeo, Visteon, Sensata, Arvin Meritor, Allegion, Emerson-Climate, Maxwell Technologies, Caltherm, Spectrum Brands, MTD and Husqvarna.
