Audi and Volkswagen reassert their permanence in Mexico

Despite recent threats against the automotive industry, Enrique Martinez Neuenschwander, General Manager of Audi Center Aguascalientes, revealed that the firm will not give up its Mexico investment plans, valued at over US$1 billion; nor the construction of a second plant with production capacity similar to that in Puebla. The Company will keep the same labor force of 4,200 Mexican workers. Moreover, Volkswagen assured there are growth possibilities of over 100% in its production levels.
