The Federal Authority for the Development of Special Economic Zones (AFDZEE) is contemplating over 70 infrastructure projects related to transport and logistics in these regions, investing US$2.5 billion, informed Gerardo Gutierrez Candiani, head of AFDZEE. Nearly 95 infrastructure projects were identified, to consolidate the capacities of the ZEE in the short, medium and long term. Investment for over US$5 billion is expected within the next 10 years. These projects are related to road, port, railroad and airport infrastructure, as well as a logistics center.
