Nucor-JFE Steel, #1,000 Japanese company to arrive in Mexico

Japanese company Nucor-JFE Steel received a recognition for being the #1,000 Japanese firm to establish operations in Mexico. With investment valued at US$270 million, the company will be located in Silao, Guanajuato and it will have a capacity of production of 400,000 tons of galvanized automotive steel plate, generating 300 jobs. It is expected to start operations in 2019. Nucor-JFE Steel Mexico is the result of a joint investment between JFE Steel Corporation, from Japan, and the U.S. corporation Nucor.
