Queretaro is a spearhead in the manufacture of tooling and molds, as it has 12 international class workshops for automotive and aeronautic sectors, leaving behind the use of foreign workshops, indicated Jesus Calderon, president of the Tooling Institute of Queretaro. He mentioned that 26 companies have their own mold workshop, which also represents an opportunity for SMEs. Venancio Perez, President of the Plastics Cluster in the State, on the other hand, said that it is necessary to encourage training and qualification of the maintenance and repair staff at the institute, as well as the fabrication of new tooling.
