New leadership arrives to Audi Puebla facility

After Audi successfully consolidated the production start-up in San Jose Chiapa, Puebla, Andreas Lehe will now manage, starting October 1st, the duties of Production and Logistics in the plant. Klaus Peter Körner, who holds the position until now, will return in late September to Germany as stipulated in his contract.

Audi Mexico is steadily advancing its goal of producing 150,000 Audi Q5 this year. So far in 2017, 100,000 SUVs have already rolled out in San Jose Chiapa.

Alfonso Dintner, president of Audi Mexico, said: "Andreas Lehe, a renowned expert with more than 17 years of experience in leadership roles, will bring valuable knowledge to Mexico."

Lehe, born in 1968, directed until recently the area of Painting at the Ingolstadt plant. After his training as a galvanizer, the original from Koblenz did university studies in materials technology and has worked at Audi for 23 years.

Within the consortium he is considered as an expert in matters of surface technologies. Lehe has contributed his wide experience in different start-ups of production for Audi.
