Vitaluz, a new start-up teaming up with the Red Girasol platform, is going to offer the possibility of investing in crowd funding projects to bring electricity to rural zones in Mexico. Investors might contribute funds starting at US$12 and receive revenues of up to 10% per year, while generating impact in the communities, explained Mauricio de Mucha, founder of Red Girasol, a platform to gather funds for clean energy projects. The investors will lend the money to Vitaluz, and the Company will instal electricity systems in the communities, and with the revenues generated by commercializing the energy among the population, the start-up will later return the money to its investors, plus interest.
