23 wind energy projects might arrive in Tamaulipas

Another 23 wind power projects are expected to arrive in Tamaulipas over the years to come, declared Nassif Surur, member of the State's Energy Commission. The State currently has 23 ongoing wind energy projects with a 3,859 megawatts (MW) capacity. Additionally, there are 5 other projects under construction, with a 301.5 MW generation capacity and total investment valued at $US570 million. Tamaulipas is going to generate 20% of all the wind power in Mexico by 2018, contributing directly to accomplish the national goal of 35% of its energy generated from renewable sources by 2024.
