Mexico has now over 26 new gas service station brands, other than Pemex, as a result of the opening of this sector after three and a half years since the enactment of the energy reform, underscored the head of the Ministry of Energy (SENER), Pedro Joaquin Coldwell.  Total from France, Chevron, BP, ExxonMobil, Gulf, Petro-7, Shell and other local names, like Hidrosina, La Gas, Oxxo Gas and G500 Network are some of the stations that have joined or will join in, offering their services. Coldwell reasserted that he expects the energy sector investment will raise to $US100 billion before the current presidential period ends.
