Grupo Lala opens US$ 55.2 million meat processing plant in Hidalgo

Agrifood Mexican company Grupo Lala in recent days started operation of its new meat processing plant in Tizayuca, Hidalgo, a facility where the company invested US$ 55.2 million, 

The new plant will generate at least 350 direct jobs and will house a technology and innovation center, said the company in a press release.

The new facility will make products under the Nutri Deli brand, which already has presence in 100,000 stores of what the company calls traditional channel, which is comprised by small businesses. Starting next year, the Nutri Deli brand will also be distributed through the modern channel, which includes large self-service stores.

The marketing of Nutri Deli products will be carried out in the refrigerated distribution network of Grupo Lala, which to date reaches more than 450,000 large and small stores throughout the national territory.

"The facilities of Nutri Deli are designed with the strictest food safety standards, as well as quality controls and processes that are in line with the best international practices, which places it as a world-class processor," said Eduardo Tricio, Chairman of Grupo Lala.
