Despite a strong demand of SUVs and pickups over compact cars in general, some Mexico-made small models saw modest sales increases during October, like the Kia Forte and the Ford Fiesta. It’s worth noticing the case of the Nissan Sentra, with sales growing at a two-digit rate in the tenth month of the year.

It is also noticeable how some automakers have reduced output of compact cars at Mexican plants to increase capacity of more profitable models such as the all-new Jeep Compass, the Chevrolet Equinox and the all-new 2018 Tiguan.

The following report does not necessary reflects that each vehicle sold from certain model was built in Mexico. Automakers constantly mix domestic and overseas supplies from several countries to meet U.S. demand.
