Grupo AeroMexico is considering to order a batch of the C Series airplanes from Canadian firm Bombardier, taking airplanes that would be ready next year, in case the customs fees established by the US stopped these aircraft from being delivered to Delta Air Lines. The largest air carrier in Mexico is also considering short range airplanes by Brazilian Corporation Embraer, as well as Japanese Firm Mitsubishi Aircraft, according to sources that have requested to remain anonymous, as these conversations are private. There is no guarantee that these negotiations will lead to any airplanes' purchase. Securing AeroMexico's preference and having it as a client, would be of great help to Bombardier, who has had problems to find buyers for its luxury airplane.
