Mexican heavy truck exports hiked 49% during last October

Mexican exports of commercial vehicles such heavy trucks, buses and tractor trucks totaled 11,998 units during last October, a sky-rocketing 49.2% boost compared to the 8,043 units from the same month of 2016, according to the latest data from the National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor Truck Producers (ANPACT for its acronym in Spanish).

From January through October, exports of Mexico-made heavy vehicles totaled 95,907 units, a 4.5% increase compared to the 91,757 units from the same ten-month period of 2016.

In the tenth month of last year, Mexican production of heavy vehicles totaled 16,406 units, a 29.5% increase compared to the 12,666 units from October 2016. Total production for the first ten months of 2017 was 129,205 units, up 0.4% compared to the 128,712 heavy trucks from the same period of 2016.
