Infiniti, Nissan’s premium brand, has already plans to build a second model at the manufacturing plant it opened last year in Aguascalientes, Mexico, AutoNews reported today citing as source Christian Meunier, global vice president, who declined to comment which model will be built at the Mexican facility.

Late 2017, the company started production of the redesigned QX50 SUV at the Cooperation Manufacturing Plant Aguascalientes, a US$ 1 billion production site Infiniti built in partnership with Mercedes-Benz, who will begin production of a new A Class sedan by the end of this year at the same facility.

According to AutoNews, Infiniti will take pre-reservations for the QX50 during January and February. The company expects the redesigned crossover to be its top selling U.S. vehicle, which is quite feasible considering its direct competitor the Audi Q5, also built in Mexico, is Audi's best-selling model in the same market.
