Grupo Modelo to establish services center for Latin America in Aguascalientes

Grupo Modelo announced a US$ 5 million investment to expand its Regional Services Center in Aguascalientes, in order to become the center of operations for Latin America.

In the expanded facility, the group will carry out sales, legal, logistics, human resources and marketing analysis processes, services that it will provide to 12 countries in the region, the company said in a statement.

This will be the first cluster of information and technology in Mexico that has capabilities of this nature and that will provide strategic services for the company in Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and the Dominican Republic.

The company expects the number of employees to increase to 2,000 people with the expansion. The center will have the task of innovation operation in 10 service areas: financial, legal, logistic, accounts receivable, accounts payable, data analysis, helpline, technology, human resources and taxes to provide support in operations of the company in the 12 countries.

The company had already invested US$ 10 million in 2016 to make the Tres Centurias historic complex its services center for national operations, which already had a workforce of 500 strong.

Last November, Modelo announced a US$ 756 million investment to expand its installed capacity in Mexico through the construction of its eighth brewery in the country, which will be located in the municipality of Apan, Hidalgo.
