Queretaro, Nuevo Leon and Sonora are the three states that could see a surge in the component foundry or manufacturing process industries for the aerospace sector, thanks to business opportunities valued at roughly US$100 million. This process would facilitate the supply chain integration for aeronautic engine production in Mexico. Queretaro is a zone with huge potential due to Safran Group's operation; Nuevo Leon is the second zone with great potential, thanks to its blooming steel industry, and the third zone of interest is Sonora, with the greatest number of engine suppliers. The potential investment detected by the federation adds up to US$500 million thanks to import substitution, and foundry represents an amount close to 20%, that is roughly US$100 million.
