Insequence Corporation, a Tennessee-based sequencing and manufacturing execution systems supplier, announced it will provide software to Yanfeng in Mexico for facilities located in Queretaro and Derramadero, Coahuila.
The Queretaro plant will utilize solutions managing the building and shipping of instruments panels, in sequence, to COMPAS, a manufacturing facility created in a joint venture between Daimler and Nissan to build Mercedes-Benz and Infinity cars.
Meanwhile, the Derramadero’s solutions will be for building in sequence or just shipping in sequence of door panels, floor consoles, bolsters, and instrument panels to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).
Yanfeng’s facility in Queretaro will use multiple applications from Insequence for sequencing and manufacturing instrument panels. The software will receive and validate the demand from COMPAS before sending production requirements to the line. The applications will then communicate with each other in a specific order to accomplish a smooth sequencing, manufacturing, and shipping process.
The facility in Derramadero will also use multiple applications from Insequence for sequencing and manufacturing multiple commodities. Commodities being manufactured or just sequenced include door panels, floor consoles, instrument panels, and bolsters.
The software will receive and validate the demand from FCA before sending production requirements to the line. The applications will then communicate with each other in a specific order to accomplish a smooth process, either build-in-sequence or just-in-sequence, depending on the commodity.
