German manufacturer of automotive components Mubea plans to invest US$ 112 million to build its second plant in the state of Guanajuato, fourth overall in Mexico.

The facility will be located at the Amistad industrial park in the municipality of Apaseo el Grande, a few minutes away from where Toyota currently builds an assembly plant.

The company will open 559 job positions to manufacture stabilizer bars, precision steel tubes and chassis components, state authorities revealed.

Mubea already operates two production facilities in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila and another one in Celaya, Guanajuato, to supply belt tensioner systems, suspension coil springs and stabilizer bars, among other products.

Its customer base includes General Motors, Volkswagen, Nissan, Ford, Daimler and Honda.
