The construction work of the BMW plant in San Luis Potosi recorded a 95% progress at the end of last month while the installation of machinery and equipment is at 50%, a few months before the production of the 3 Series sedan formally begins.

According the German automaker, all buildings in the plant are mostly completed, even some of them are already occupied as is the case of the Facility Management and Bodyshop areas.

Regarding the recruitment of personnel, it already has a workforce of 1,000 strong, but it will expand to 1,500 for the second quarter of next year.

Based on all these data, the communication department of the BMW says that the project moves in a timely manner in its different areas, according to plan.
