Ascent Aerospace sets up new plant in Mexicali

Ascent Aerospace, a California-based manufacturer and integrator of aerospace automation technologies, announced it will set up a manufacturing plant in Mexicali dedicated to integral welding solutions. 

This location will start operations at the Calafia II industrial park, as part of Ascent's aerospace tools and equipment business, according to a statement by the President of Ascent Aerospace, Paul Walsh.

It should be noted that Ascent Aerospace is the world's largest tool provider for OEM aircraft manufacturers and their Tier 1 and 2 suppliers, including Airbus, Boeing, UTC, GKN and others. 

Ascent develops the molds for composite aerospace structures, tools to assembly these parts and turnkey assembly lines for the main aircraft programs in the world.

The company did not offer further details regarding the amount of investment nor the job position to be opened along with this project.
