The first units of the Nissan Kicks are starting to arrive in showrooms across the U.S. this month in the latest effort by the Japanese automaker to expand its offer among the increasingly chunk of consumers that demand crossovers and SUVs.

The sporty compact unit will be taking the place of the discontinued Juke among the Nissan ranks as the smallest model in the Nissan crossover and SUV lineup, but it offers 93.9 cubic-feet of passenger room along with 32.3 cubic-feet of maximum cargo room. The engine provides an EPA estimated 31-city mpg and 36-highway mpg.

For 2018, the vehicle sourced from the A1 Aguascalientes assembly plant is available in a myriad of color options including Deep Blue Pearl, Cayenne Red and Aspen Powder. The all-new crossover also offers five two-tone color options, and those interested can independently customize individual colors on the mirrors, grille accents, rim inserts, kick plates and more to make an entirely unique color combination.

The Kicks also offers unique interior options including an available headrest-mounted Bose Personal Plus Sound System, an Intelligent Around View Monitor, automatic emergency braking and more. With three trim levels to choose from, prospective Nissan buyers will have a lot of options.

The model is still very new to dealerships, and if prospective customers do not see the model in inventory, they are being encouraged to reach out and ask the dealership about availability. As production ramps up, the new Nissan model will have increased availability.
