Multi-sector manufacturer Jabil opens its seventh plant in Jalisco, already builds another one

Florida-based multi-sector manufacturer Jabil in recent days inaugurated its seventh production facility in the state of Jalisco, where the company invested US$ 16.1 million to start operations.

The new site, located at the Technology Park in the municipality of Zapopan, manfuactures cases for cell phones and other mobile devices using metal stamping and injection molding processes.

According to a statement issued by state authorities, by the end of the year, the plant will have recruited 1,800 workers to carry out its operations.

During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Cesar Castro, director of Logistics and Government Affairs, said the company already builds its eighth facility in the state where it will invest US$ 42 million. The official declined to give further details, adding only that the plant will open 1,000 jobs positions and it’ll start operations next October.
