Arizona-based wind blades manufacturer TPI Composites, Inc. announced that General Electric (GE) has agreed to extend their supply agreement in one of TPI’s Mexico plants by two years to 2022 and will increase the number of production lines in that facility from three to five.

This is the second company that expands its partnership with TPI in less than a month. In early July, Danish wind turbines manufacturer Vestas exercised options for four additional lines at TPI’s manufacturing hub in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, bringing the total number of lines in that facility from two to six. The financial terms of the exercised options were not disclosed.

Aside from the Tamaulipas facility, TPI operates three manufacturing plants in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, where the company started Mexican operations in 2002.
