Cancun International Airport to expand infrastructure in order to meet demand

In the first semester of 2018, the Cancun International Airport reported an outstanding growth of 7% in the total volume of passengers. The domestic traffic increased by 12.5% and international 4.7%, when compared to the same period of 2017.

Cancun’s airport is the second with the most passengers in Mexico and it just opened up its terminal 4. However, given the constant demand by national and international passengers, Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste has just included in their budget the construction of terminal 5, which will cost around US$303.5 million.
