The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) signed a collaboration agreement with the Asociacion Mexicana de Agentes de Carga (Amacarga). In this sense, both organizations seek to strengthen its presence in Latin America and support the air cargo community in the region.

"Mexico is a very important country that has experienced rapid economic growth in recent years, and we look forward to forging closer relations with the region to help promote and represent its growing air cargo community," said Vladimir Zubkov, general secretary of TIACA.

As part of the agreement, the two organizations will explore joint training options and networking initiatives.

Cargo air traffic in Mexico is growing at a rate above the standard, with a year-on-year increase of 9.5% through May 2018, compared to the global growth of 5.3%, the agency said.
