Asian airlines report cargo traffic increase of 15% in Mexico

Within the first seven months of 2018, the six Asian airlines that fly to and from Mexico reported a total increase of 15%, in regards to accumulated cargo traffic in regular international service. Said percentage manifests 59,309 tons, compared to the 51,487 tons registered in the same period of 2017, according to official data from the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil (DGAC).

The airline with the highest cargo traffic in Mexico was Cathay Pacific, with a sum of 21,375 tons, 26% more than last year. Qatar Airlines followed with 15,541 tons, which represented an increase of 13% compared to 2017.

 

The Emirates airline was the third with the highest cargo movement by the end of the period. With an increase of 13,449 tons, the airline successfully grew 23% compared to last year.
