The general training coordinator of the Agencia Aeroespacial Mexicana (AEM), Carlos Duarte Muñoz, emphasized that Mexico is growing in aerospace matters, because although the AEM was created in 2013, it has already made a lot of progress.

He stressed that the AzTechSat-1 nanosatellite, that is being created in Puebla with private funds from NASA, AEM and Conacyt, which is scheduled to launch in 2019 and is the first one made in Mexico, is the foundation that will allow the country to grow in this area.

Javier Mendieta Jimenez, General Director of the AEM, said that the future in the aerospace sector in Mexico could leave an economic income of up to US$4,000 million and generate thousands of jobs.
