Nissan Motor Co. announced that the suggested price of the 2019 Nissan Versa Note hatchback for the U.S. market will start at US$ 15,650, that’s US$ 3,290 more than the sedan version which remains as the most affordable car available in the U.S.
The hatchback is offered in three package levels: S, SV and SR with the latter featuring a number of sporty exterior and interior treatments, including fog lights, rear spoiler, body-color side sills, suede-like seats, sport leather wrapped steering wheel, 16-inch machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels and outside rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals.
The unit will feature standard RearView Monitor and 7.0-inch color audio system touchscreen display, while the NissanConnect system featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and SiriusXM Satellite Radio will be available for SV and SR trim packages.
The Versa Note 1.6 SV Xtronic will start at US$ 16,550 while the SR will have a starting price of US$ 18,360 plus a destination and handling fee of US$ 895 in all options.
The hatchback is powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine, matched with a next-generation Nissan Xtronic transmission, helping achieve up to 39 miles per gallon highway fuel economy.
Both Versa versions for the North American market are sourced from the Nissan A1 assembly plant in Aguascalientes, Central Mexico.
