Specialty resins supplier Amco Polymers opens sales office, warehouse in Mexico

Amco Polymers, a distributor of commodity, engineering and specialty polymers, announced it has expanded its distribution business into Mexico. Amco Polymers de Mexico office and warehouse will be based in Mexico City with an additional sales office in Guadalajara. 

“The plastics industry in Mexico is witnessing a positive growth trajectory. A distinctive organization like Amco Polymers is positioned to expand in a growing country, and we are ready to provide solutions for local customers,” said in a statement Gerardo Lopez-Kuri, Country Manager-Mexico.

The new facilities in Mexico, which just became fully operational, will provide Amco Polymers with additional bulk and warehouse storage with full packaging and delivery capabilities. 

“Our offices in Mexico City and Guadalajara provide us with a local, knowledgeable team that can quickly respond to our customers’ needs. Our strategic expansion into Mexico ensures we provide a full service, solution focused partnership to both our customers and suppliers,” said Kevin Wettstein, Vice President/General Manager of Amco Polymers.

Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Amco Polymers manufactures and distributes resin and compounding solutions in the United States, Canada, and Europe. The company serves a wide variety of manufacturers in several markets such as automotive, packaging, industrial, healthcare, electrical/electronics, and consumer durables.

Amco Polymers engages in compounding color, glass, carbon-fiber, metal, and impact modifiers, as well as blending additives, including UV stabilizers, lubricants, anti-microbials, foaming agents, and scratch resistant enhancers; and custom manufacturing specialty compounds. 

It offers dry color pigments, color concentrates, and anti-counterfeiting taggants and taggant combination technologies. Founded in 1955, the company operates as a subsidiary of Ravago America Corporation.
