The all-new Volkswagen Jetta began to be marketed this month in Brazil, where it will face a tight market in which 14 brands are betting on the compact sedans segment, according to a report by Just-auto.com (subscription required).

The main rivals with which the vehicle manufactured in Puebla will have to compete are the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze and the Ford Focus.

Initially, the Jetta will be offered in only two versions: Comfortline for approximately US$ 29,300 and R-Line with a price tag of US$ 32,000. The vehicle enters the Brazilian market free of tariffs under a scheme of limited quotas between both countries.
