The increasing demand for new passenger and cargo airplanes for upcoming years, is driving the growth of the aerospace industry in the State of Chihuahua, affirmed Rene Espinosa Terrazas, President of the Aeroespace Cluster in the State. There is major advance in the State's race to complete the assembly process of an airplane, expressed Espinosa Terrazas, as the Cluster is preparing to stand up to markets such as Asia and the Middle East. Textron Aviation manufactures with carbon fiber composites, 90% of the Cessna Corvalis aircraft, said the President of the Aerocluster. Besides, 100% of interiors for some models, such as Embraer 170, 175, 190 and 195, are manufactured, installed and shipped out from the State, as well as seats, restrooms, oxygen masks, and kitchen cabinets for planes, through Embraer and Zodiac Aerospace's joint venture, EZ Air. The Cluster in Chihuahua groups more than 40 companies and divisions together, such as: Grupo Safran, Textron Aviation, Bell Helicopter, Honeywell, Zodiac Aerospace, Fokker GKN, Altaser, L3, Kaman, Soisa, Lisi Aerospace and EZ Air, among many others.
