Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico to build FBOs in four cities, including Silao, Guanajuato

The Guadalajara-based airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) plans to install fixed-base operators (FBO) at four terminals it manages in Mexico, according to the specialized site Aviation International News (AIN).
These facilities will be built in the terminals of La Paz, Tijuana, Puerto Vallarta and the Bajío Airport, located in Guanajuato, since none of them has that type of infrastructure. To this end, GAP will replicate the model it operates at the Los Cabos airport, which handles 7,000 private flights per year, according to AIN.
It is worth noting that the airport activity in the Bajio has registered strong growth in recent years due to the boom experienced by the automotive industry, to the extent that both Guanajuato and Queretaro, cities that are located in that region, already operate direct flights to Detroit, Michigan.
In the case of Queretaro, it is also noteworthy that the terminal already operates cargo air routes that connect it logistically with the United States and Europe.
