Vallarta’s airport is undergoing connectivity improvement through US$18 million investment

The director of Puerto Vallarta’s “Lic. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz” International Airport, Saul Sanabria, said that it's operator, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico's (GAP) 2015-2019 investment has surpassed the quantity of US$18 million.

During a meeting of the airport’s Advisory Committee, Sanabria explained that the investments have allowed, among other things, the improvement of the airport’s connectivity. Moreover, it operates flights to 51 destinations including Helsinki, Los Angeles, San Diego and Chicago. In this sense, the airport has transported nearly 5 million passengers throughout 2018. This represents a sustained growth of half a million passengers per year.

In the presence of the mayors of Puerto Vallarta and Bahia de Banderas, Arturo Davalos and Jaime Cuevas, Sanabria announced that before the end of 2018, the airport’s administration hopes to open up flight connections with Panama. In addition, new routes to Hamilton and Ontario are contemplated for early 2019.
