South Korean company ECOCAB to set up US$ 11-million manufacturing plant in Durango

The government of the state of Durango and South Korean company ECOCAB signed a memorandum of understanding in which the latter committed to invest US$ 11 million to build and start up a new production plant in that state.

The investment was announced by the Secretary of Economic Development, Ramon Davila Flores, who explained that the company will produce electrical conductors and LED electronic modules that are used in the assembly of headlights and rear lights of vehicles.

The plant will be located in the Logistics and Industrial Center of Durango (CLID) which is located at the northwest of the state capital. It is estimated that the company will open 250 job positions to start operations.

Founded in 2010, ECOCAB Co., Ltd. manufactures automotive wires and cables. The company offers high voltage cables for electrical vehicles; battery cables; and engine/power train, engine bay, interior, and special cables.

It also provides mechanical protection, high abrasion resistance and high coverness products, and heat and EMI shielding products; squib connector wiring, headlamp wiring, and anti-lock brake system harness products; TPMS cables; tail lamp cables.

The company also supplies high-voltage electric vehicles wiring harness products and PTC cables for electric vehicles; power supply cables for high-capacity wiring harness; and high temperature engine wiring harness products.
