Toyota Motor Corporation officially kicked off its first stage of recruitment for the assembly plant that will begin operations in the last quarter of 2019 in the municipality of Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato, local media reported.

Through the event ‘Live the Toyota experience’, human resources managers from the Japanese automaker had an approach with those interested in working on the facility.

Hundreds of people went to the pavilion installed in the main garden of Apaseo el Grande where they were told about the philosophy of the company and the manufacturing process for the Tacoma pickup truck, which will be built at the assembly plant.

Those interested in one of the 1,000 positions available were registered in a database to later de called upon.

The vice president of the plant, Juan Francisco García, said that the employment profile of Apaseo el Grande workers fits perfectly with the values of the Japanese company. “We consider that Apaseo was the right decision to build this Toyota home in Guanajuato,” he said.
