Top management officials at Pirelli are preparing to visit the two plants that the Italian tiremaker operates in Guanajuato by the end of year. Within the itinerary, a small ceremony to commemorate 6 years of operations in Mexico is planned and they will celebrate it with the milestone of 20 million tires produced in its Bajio plants, Periodico AM reported.

The first plant was inaugurated on May 31, 2012, a year later, on June 18, the company announced that it had produced its first million tires, a figure that rose to 5 million in July 2015 and increased to 10 million in November 2016.

The facilities manufacture Premium, High Performance and Ultra High Performance tires for cars and trucks.
