Officials of Grupo Industrial Saltillo are confident that the new rules of the trade deal between the United States, Mexico and Canada (USMCA) will bring new opportunities in North America to suppliers of the automotive industry.

José Manuel Arana, CEO and president of the Mexican company, said during his participation in the IPADE Auto Summit that some OEMs will decide to regionalize part of the supply that they currently import from Asia, which will bring an additional volume of production to Mexico.

The executive announced that, through its automotive subsidiary Draxton, Grupo Industrial Saltillo will collaborate with the German auto parts manufacturer ZF to produce brake components and other products. He also revealed that they will provide brake discs to BMW, which will be produced in San Luis Potosi.
