French automotive supplier Faurecia announced it will equip two of GM’s foremost pickup trucks, the Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra, with its breakthrough innovation called Resonance Free Pipe (RFP).

Among the primary benefits to the customer, the RFP reduces weight and packaging complexity by eliminating resonators. “We are excited that GM has recognized the value of the RFP, and we are proud to launch it on such a prominent program.

As the industry continues to rapidly evolve, we continue to innovate with game-changing technologies, like the Resonance Free Pipe, in order to lead the way in sustainable mobility,” said in a statement Hadi Awada, President of Faurecia Clean Mobility North America. The technology is produced in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Silao, Guanajuato.
