Santa Lucia will have an investment of US$484,978 million in 2019

Javier Jiménez Espriú, the next Secretary of Communications and Transport, announced that in 2019 US$484.978 million will be invested in the Santa Lucía airport, with a total of US$3.3 million proposed.

Jiménez Espriú said he met with the president-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador to review the progress of Santa Lucía's master plan, which he authorized next year's project for the adaptation of the current airport, in which US$145.453 million will be invested.

He added that the platform of the Presidential Hangar will be used to make a platform of remote positions that later in a couple years, will be made of permanent positions and will be integrated to the services.

"These actions will increase by approximately 6% the possibilities of positions at the current airport in Mexico City," said the next head of Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT).
