Seoul-based Nexen to supply all-season tires for the Volkswagen Jetta

Nexen Tire, a tire manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, announced that it has signed a deal to supply its N'Priz AH8 as original equipment (OE) tires for the Volkswagen Jetta built at the assembly plant in Puebla. Neither the financial nor volume terms of the deal were disclosed.
The select item is the N'Priz AH8 in size 205/55R17 91H, an all-season tire, which offers optimal driving capacity in dry, wet and light snow conditions. The tire features tread patterns that resembles shark fins and are designed using noise reduction simulation. Also, its multi-tread technology increases both traction and fuel efficiency.
“We are excited to expand our supplies of OE tires for leading global car manufacturer Volkswagen,” said ins a statement Travis Kang, CEO of Nexen Tire. “We will continue our commitment to improving Nexen Tire's product quality and technology, further expanding our presence in the industry, especially in the European and North America markets.”
Nexen Tire supplies tires to global automakers including Porsche, Renault, Fiat, Ĺ koda, SEAT and plans to further increase its brand awareness by expanding its tire supply for new cars in the global market.
The company operates three manufacturing plants, two in South Korea (Yangsan and Changnyeong) and one in Qingdao, China.
