German-based manufacturer Continental recently inaugurated the Continental Training Center (CTC), located in its San Luis Potosi plant where the company allocated an investment of US$ 600,000.
This campus is aimed at preparing its current and future employees in specific technical skills such as pneumatics, electronics, hydraulics, robotics and automation, among others. The installation will also contribute to developing competencies in aspects such as quality and leadership.
The CTC covers an area of approximately 280 square meters and is equipped with a management simulation system (which makes the user aware of the quality of the product from its manufacture to its placing on the market), as well as pneumatic simulators, tables for electronic courses, numerical control simulators, robots, control cabinets, training rooms, as well as collaboration spaces focused on quality issues and staff development.
“The new trends in the automotive industry require us to have talent that is up to the standards of quality our customers need, with the Continental Training Center (CTC) we want to develop the skills, techniques and competencies of our personnel” with a view to the mobility of the future, said in a statement Juan de Dios Pina, Human Relations manager at the Continental Automotive Plant in San Luis Potosi.
The plant employs approximately 350 people and is dedicated to the production of brake systems and turbochargers. In fact, in recent days the plant reached its first 1,000,000-calipers production milestone.
