The office of the General Delegation of Quebec in Mexico is currently working on projects of approximately 20 Canadian companies, which are interested in settling in Queretaro and Guanajuato, said Enrique Patiño, commercial attaché of said center.

In an interview, he stated that around 20 Quebec-based companies are located in the Bajio region, mainly from the aeronautical sector and manufacturing in general.

"There are about 15 to 20 companies that already participate in the Queretaro and Guanajuato markets. And we will have like 20 others that will be exploring the area,” Patiño pointed out.

He highlighted the interest that exists in the region by these companies, due to the development that has been generated, mainly in the aeronautical, automotive and services sectors. Patiño also indicated that Quebec has a highly developed and competitive industry, where its main exports are destined for the United States, which speaks of the quality and cost of its products.

"There are many services around the production chain [in Quebec], for example, in information technology, manufacturing systems and telecommunication systems," he added.
