APODACA - Logistics real estate developer Prologis announced that it will carry out the construction of custom-built class A facilities for Whirlpool Corporation in Prologis Park Apodaca, facilities that will become Whirlpool's national distribution center for the LAR NORTH region.

The 587, 563-square-foot property will be built in Apodaca, in the heart of the busiest industrial corridor in the Monterrey metropolitan area, and will have access to the area's main transportation networks, such as the Anillo Periférico, the Miguel Aleman highway and the Mariano Escobedo international airport in Monterrey.

Whirlpool, one of the largest companies in the manufacture of household appliances, has plans to consolidate its logistics and service operations in a single centralized site, located in Nuevo León. From Apodaca, the company plans to distribute its entire portfolio of products and spare parts marketed in Mexico and the Latin American region.

"Our partnership with Whirlpool to develop a modern, efficient and tailored logistics platform is testimony to the growing consumer base in Mexico and the need for high quality buildings in one of the most demanded areas in the country,”commented Luis Gutiérrez, president of Prologis Latin America. "We are proud to work with a multinational client such as Whirlpool and help their supply chain get closer to the final consumer," he said.
