QUERETARO With an investment of US$ 2.5 million, the company Mapal-Frhenosa inaugurated its plant in Queretaro, which will produce cutting tools for the aerospace and automotive industries.

"We would not have this plant without the success that Mapal has had in Mexico. Our new plant is evidence not only of our past, but of our belief in a promising future. "We have a very firm belief in the future of Mapal in Mexico and especially in the Queretaro area, as it is an area with a lot of growth not only for our traditional customers, but for new clients as it is in the aerospace industry,"  said the president of Grupo Mapal globally, Jochen Kress.

He affirmed that one of the reasons why Mapal decided to invest in Queretaro, is the knowledge and skills people have. Mapal-Frhenosa is a Mexican-German firm, which has more than 5,000 employees globally and it invoices more than US$ 789 million a year.

During the event, the general director of Grupo Mapal-Frhenosa, Lázaro Garza Dávila, highlighted the preparation and quality of the operational personnel that constitute the company, as a key factor in the company’s results.

During the January-November 2018 period, the manufacture of machinery and equipment in Querétaro produced almost US$ 618 million; while a year before, in 2017, this sector contributed with more than US$ 2.3 million to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the state.

The governor of Querétaro, Francisco Domínguez Servién, recognized the importance of this investment, which strengthens the productive chains linked to the aeronautical and auto parts’ industries of the entity.
